Most of our Papillons are adopted as close as possible to their foster homes. Each foster parent gives their heart and love to the butterflies in their care and it is hard to part with them. If you are interested in a Papillon that is not in your home state, you may still send an application, however, every effort is first made to place the dogs within a reasonable distance. We request that the applicant is willing to come to the home to meet the dog and to be sure the match is a good one.

While not all homes are suitable for the physically and emotionally fragile dogs that come into our rescue, we tend to have more people willing to rescue our Papillons than we have dogs available. We are grateful for the kindness of so many people. There may be a delay in finding the right dog for you, and each application is carefully scrutinized. It may take 2 weeks or more before you hear from someone in our  volunteer organization.

Our adoption guidelines are stated preceeding the application page. Please read them carefully.  Any transportation expenses are the full responsibility of the adopter. Suggested adoption donation:

For healthy dogs up to two years of age: $350-$450
For healthy dogs between the ages of two and six:$ 250-$350
For healthy dogs between the ages of six and nine: $150-$250
Geriatric or "special needs" dogs: donation is set on a case-by-case basis

I am Gaston and my brother is Alfonse. Here is what my foster Mom has to say about me:
I cannot believe he is a year old already but my boy is all grown up! He has changed from a little fur ball to an elegant flashy young man. He gets compliments wherever we go and has a big dog attitude in a small dog body.
Gaston is the more dominant boy and more compact than his brother. He is shy with strangers but warms up in a while if not pushed. He is now comfortable sleeping in bed with  foster Mom. He gets on well with all the dogs in the house but adores our boxer and jumps on him whenever he moves. He plays with toys and loves to chase squirrels.
Gaston would be perfect for an active person who walks or jogs a lot as he adores going in the truck and running very fast at the park.He comes on command and can run off leash in a safe area.
He is a delight to watch and play with and is doing well with his training. He is not destructive and can stay home on free run of the house. Gaston, like most Paps, is sensitive to correction and hates to disappoint so a soft approach with praise and rewards is all it takes.He adores ice cubes and will roo-roo at me when I have ice water. Too funny.
He is protective of his home and barks to warn but will stop when told "enough". 
Gaston has been waiting a long time for his forever home. He is ready to light up someones life. Could it be you? If you are interested in a pair we would love to place the brothers together if possible.
