Foster this dog on Facebook!

Most of our Papillons are adopted as close as possible to their foster homes. Each foster parent gives their heart and love to the butterflies in their care and it is hard to part with them. If you are interested in a Papillon that is not in your home state, you may still send an application, however, every effort is first made to place the dogs within a reasonable distance. We request that the applicant is willing to come to the home to meet the dog and to be sure the match is a good one.

While not all homes are suitable for the physically and emotionally fragile dogs that come into our rescue, we tend to have more people willing to rescue our Papillons than we have dogs available. We are grateful for the kindness of so many people. There may be a delay in finding the right dog for you, and each application is carefully scrutinized. It may take 2 weeks or more before you hear from someone in our  volunteer organization.

Our adoption guidelines are stated preceeding the application page. Please read them carefully.  Any transportation expenses are the full responsibility of the adopter. Suggested adoption donation:
For healthy dogs up to two years of age: $350-$450
For healthy dogs between the ages of two and six:$ 250-$350
For healthy dogs between the ages of six and nine: $150-$250
Geriatric or "special needs" dogs: donation is set on a case-by-case basis

Not all our Papillons are listed on the webpage.

Hi!!! Are you looking for a house-trained cuddle-bug? Well, then, I am your girl. I love to take long walks, get belly rubs, go for car rides, cuddle with my mommy and sleep real close in her bed!  I really like wearing my sweaters, shirts, coats - actually, I like dressing up, I am a girl you know.  But I'm OK just in my birthday suit too.

So you want a girl who will love you for the rest of her life? You found me! I'll warn you with my barking if I see anyone outside, including dogs, cats, people, cars, trucks - actually anything that moves.  I love my foster mommy, but I am ready to find my forever home.

My perfect home would be a quiet one with no other dogs, cats might be OK because I live with one now & I just ignore him when he comes in.  I am friendly with other some other dogs but I just don't want to live with them, know what I mean?  Now if another dog would let me be "queen" I'd be more than happy to share but otherwise I want to be the "Only Child"!  I'm all ready to cuddle in your lap and love you every day.  I like being with my family all the time.

Is Not Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Special Needs: OK, I may sound perfect, and I think I am, but there are a couple things I should tell you. I got hit by a car and no one took me to the vet. When Papillon 911 Rescue got me, it was too late to save my front left leg. I don't care, because it doesn't slow me down. I hope that it doesn't bother you either. In the winter time I take a little medicine for the arthritis in my spine & joints from my car crash injury. It's not expensive and I don't mind taking it. I also lost some of my hearing in my left ear when the car hit me, but I can hear "just fine" out of my other one! I do have some allergies, chicken being one of them even though I really love it. I get itchy when the trees & grass start blooming so I take Benedryl. I now have an issue with Pancreatitis so I need to have my diet monitored. I "love" cheese & peanut butter but they have too much fat so I only get a tiny taste. I know that my pills are hidden in them even though mommy thinks she's fooling me.
