Most of our Papillons are adopted as close as possible to their foster homes. Each foster parent gives their heart and love to the butterflies in their care and it is hard to part with them. If you are interested in a Papillon that is not in your home state, you may still send an application, however, every effort is first made to place the dogs within a reasonable distance. We request that the applicant is willing to come to the home to meet the dog and to be sure the match is a good one.
While not all homes are suitable for the physically and emotionally fragile dogs that come into our rescue, we tend to have more people willing to rescue our Papillons than we have dogs available. We are grateful for the kindness of so many people. There may be a delay in finding the right dog for you, and each application is carefully scrutinized. It may take 2 weeks or more before you hear from someone in our volunteer organization.
Our adoption guidelines are stated preceeding the application page. Please read them carefully. Any transportation expenses are the full responsibility of the adopter. Suggested adoption donation:
For healthy dogs up to two years of age: $350-$450 For healthy dogs between the ages of two and six:$ 250-$350 For healthy dogs between the ages of six and nine: $150-$250 Geriatric or "special needs" dogs: donation is set on a case-by-case basis
Bree came to us as an owner surrender because her family didn’t feel that she was getting the attention that she deserved. There were some changes in the family situation and Bree was spending too much time alone. Bree is a beautiful white and sable papillon who is full of life.If I didn’t know better, I would say that Bree is about 3-4 years old.Bree is a very active healthy 9 year old and she is housebroken.
Update: Bree loves to be with people and she gives wonderful pappy kisses. She loves to lay next to you on the couch or in your lap. She loves playing with her toys, playing fetch and tug toys. She is so much fun to watch when she is trying to make the toys squeak. She is very smart and listens well. She will make a excellent companion for someone. She does get along with other dogs but I think she would like to be the only one. Bree just loves attention and she will shower you with a lot of love and pappy kisses. Bree sleeps in our bed but if you tell her to get in her bed then she will go in her crate to sleep. Bree is a happy healthy pap who has alot of love to give. This Pap Princess deserves a forever home.
BREE: I am a really good girl and would love to have a home of my own. I love my foster siblings but I would love to have a whole lap by myself. When I start barking if you tell me no then I will stop barking. Not sure why but I know that I get treats for good behavior. I know "sit and "down" and just love to zoom outside. I love to sneak my foster siblings toys away from them when they get distracted. Did I say that I love to give pappy kisses? If not, then I give lotsa of pappy kisses.
